Costco Travel Review
Costco has everything…. we all know this. From winter coats and bathing suits to tires for your car and glasses for your eyes. But did you know they also have a travel division that will help you plan trips all over the world?
When we found this out we were so intrigued and excited that we booked our honeymoon through them. For this trip we researched what we wanted to do and this was the best deal that we found. So we want to share with you a little about our experience with Costco Travel.
If you are coming to Costco Travel not knowing what kind of trip you want to plan that is ok! We came into our trip totally blind to what we wanted and even where we wanted to go but the process walks you through everything so it's very simple.

When you first get to their website you have a few things to choose from for what kind of trip you are planning. You can rent a vehicle and book a hotel. You can book a cruise by destination, cruise line or by home port, you can book theme parks and you can book packages. Our experience was with a package deal. If you choose a package deal like we did, you can build your own package or you can pick the area that you want to travel to and see what packages they have.

For our honeymoon we chose Europe and then choose Rome, Italy and Athens, Greece. There are a bunch of different combinations of destinations you can choose from. It really just depends on where you would like to go and for what length of time. The best advice I can give is to go to their website and just play around. See what deals and packages they are offering and see if any of those appeal to you. Once we chose our package we then picked our hotels from a list that they provided to us. Then we picked the hotel room that we wanted. You could choose between all the levels of rooms and what you wanted out of your hotel room. We did this for both destinations.
Let me explain a little more you you guys. This trip was one of our first trips out of the country and we were very nervous about where to stay and how to get from the airports to the hotels in a new place so this was a lifesaver for us. When we were deciding where to book and once we chose our destination we called the Costco Travel customer support and they were amazing. We talk to a man that really helped us with everything. He truly just talked us through the package that we chose and everything that we needed to know for our trip. It really made us feel like we had that connection with Costco before we booked such a big trip totally blind. We also had an issue while at the airport where my ticket had an error on it that we found before boarding our flight to Athens and we called them and they helped us right on the spot and corrected what we need in no time. It truly was a great experience. They also have a payment plan that helped us be able to pay our trip off gradually instead of having to do it all up front at once. Also if you have a Costco Executive membership card you get a 2% reward back.
When we landed in Greece, which was our first destination, a car was waiting for us with a Costco Travel sign and our last name on it. They also scheduled our car to get back to the airport for our flight to Italy. Once in Italy it was the same. They had a car waiting for us with a Costco Travel sign and our last name and then when we left at the end of our trip to get back to the airport they had a car scheduled for us to take us to the airport.
The experience that we had was top notch. They were accommodating, helpful and polite in our experience so we cannot say enough great things about using this service! Costco Travel will definitely make your travels anything but regular!
