Why it’s ok to take an infant to Disney World!

Us on the plane to Disney World!

First things first, if you're like me then you're planning a trip to Disney World in your head 24/7. I am constantly seeing people traveling to Disney World and I then start dreaming about our next trip! And if you have kids then the age old question is at what age is it acceptable to take your kids to Disney World? And are you stupid as a parent to take a baby to Disney World?

Practicing his walking before a fun day ahead in the parks!

When we went to Disney World for the first time as a family Tripp was 10 months old. We knew that this trip was going to be either terrible because he was so young or it was going to be fantastic, and it was fantastic!

We heard all the time before we left that he was to young to take him and we hear and read it everyday that it is a waste of money because he will never remember it.

So let’s talk about this for a minute!

Will Tripp remember this vacation to Disney World, no. But will he remember a trip that we take when he is 5 years old, still probably not. Even though he will not remember this experience Allen and I will. We will remember his little face when he saw Mickey Mouse for the first time. We will remember the rides that he fell asleep on. These are memories that we will never forget as he grows up and we would not give those back for anything.

Now as far as a waste of money taking a 10 month old to Disney World it was honestly rather cheap. As he was under 2 years old we did not purchase a seat on the plane so he just sat on our laps. Children under 3 do not need admission into the parks so that saved money not having to purchase him a ticket.

To be completely honest going to Disney World when Tripp was that little was amazing for us and for a few different reasons.

He could not walk yet, so he just hung out in the stroller or explored different rides that he could go on. This was great because he was not wanting to get up and out of the stroller a lot. Not having him fight us to get out when its super crowded was a plus.

He also was still pretty little so he took a good nap in the stroller so we did not have to go back to the room.

He also has always been the child that just went along with what Allen and I did. We have always taken him where we go and what we do he does so he is always along for the ride! And this first trip to Disney World was no different!

To be honest we’re a little scared for our next Disney trip. An almost 2 year old that loves to run around and play and meet new people, that will be a new experience in a line to ride a ride, haha!

In my opinion the age old question is do or can I take my baby to Disney World? The answer is yes. If you want to go and take them with you then we encourage it. Like I said earlier they will not remember it but you will and you will have those memories forever! We hope this helps on your Disney World planning and as always we hope it makes your travel anything but regular!
